Amp settings???

I am very new to this game, and do not understand? Is Gain the same as LEVEL? what about the Low boost and Filter?? which one do I set first and so on and to what point do I know I am at the max my amp can put out. Should I take to + of both speakers and the - an bridge it to one channel will that harm the amp (2 speakers on one channel??) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/help.gif.cee8f684da1ba626487a8bc51152e1ec.gif

FYI I do have another sony 4 chn amp running 4 speakers, but that sounds great. can not seem to get the Bass 2 ch 1200 watt to bang... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/help.gif.cee8f684da1ba626487a8bc51152e1ec.gif

gain = input level adjustment = input sensitivity

You set the low pass filter to filter out the high frequencies you don't want the subs to play. Usually you cross over the sub around 80 Hz low pass...turn off bass boost, IMO.
