Hey what's up guys I just had my sound system installed, it consists of (1) 10" JL W3v3 subwoofer along with a JL audio 500/1 amp. Got it installed and it sounds great. Hits nice and decent . Only question is, when I looked at the settings on the amplifier I was just curiously looking at the settings (and acted like I was inspecting or something hahaha) and the Bass boost was only at around the "+2-+3" setting. I was curious because it goes WAY higher than that, what do you guys suggest? Also, which is the gain control, is it the "Q"?
Another question I have, is if I decide to go and start messing with my settings, can my amplifier blow my woofer if I turn it up too loud, or are they a decent match enough for me not to have to worry about it? The woofer is wired at 4 ohms, btw.
