Amp selection

Ok, its seeming as tho keeping a 2 channel setup isnt favored in this forum. I have 2 rockford p3 d2s (wired up to 4 ohms each) and am wanting more power. I came across a few 2 and 4 channel amps that were quickly squashed, but my followup questions arent being addressed. Does anyone have any first hand (or even second hand) experience with this amp?

it would be seeing a 2 ohm load for my 2 12's and is quite reasonable priced, but my fear is, are the days of old awesome PPI quality gone since DEI purchased them from ADSt? Im VERY familiar with PPI when they were under A/D/S/ ownership (I have several old PPI PC amps and an A/D/S/ PowerPlate PQ20.2), but havent heard much positive stuff about them in recent years... Anyone know anyone who has this amp? Is is a cheapy because its a POS?

His results - 42.3V x 13.5A, = 571.05 watts, 3.1333 ohms. 12volts

46.8V 15.5A = 725.4 watts at 3.019 ohms. 13.3volts

34.18V x 62.5A = 2136.25 watts, 0.54688 ohms. 12.2volts

39.89V x 70.8A = 2824.212 watts at 0.5634 ohms. 11.5volts " Massive clipping"

"Strapped" 1ohm nominal load - 104.7v x 53.8a =5318 watts - 1.94ohm - 12.4volts

Slight clip on all results...

When did this happen? I know ive been out of the game for a while, but last i knew was that ADSt sold off orion and ppi to DEI and that started the downfall of those two brands.

but back to my original question, is that PPI running at 2 ohms gonna be a pile o junk? I dont need Sundown Audio quality, just as long as the darn thing wont blow my P3s up

also, i take it that i should closely guard my old PPI PC stuff and my A/D/S/ PQ20.2

you can get better amps for the price on here unless u buying new only. like i have an aq2200 that will give u the power u need

At 2ohm you will get 1000 watts or so out of it. You can get a much better 2ohm 1000 watt amp for that money.
