Amp(s) needed for SQ set up

Need amps to run CDT hd-62 components (180w) and CDT sq1000 4 ohm sub (500-600w) @ 4ohm). Leaning towards US Amps, but not sure. Open to any suggestions, looking to stay under $1000 to power both comps and sub, wanting best quality for the money- I do not want to upgrade later. May also be interested in buying used if price/condition was right. Thanks for any help

Hopefully someone will chime in, Ive been having trouble finding good amps to fit these specs, especially the 180-200 x 2 needed for the components. I dont want to bridge a 4 channel and most amps I'm seeing rate 200 x 2 @ 2ohms not 4.

For the sub I'd like to go 2 channel A/B over a mono D for the sound quality.

zed audio minilith. two of them strapped for 800 rms @ 4 ohm

for the components zed audio draconia bridged for 280 rms x 2 @ 4 ohm (those CDT's love extra power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

imho, zed audio amps are of quality equaling companies such as tru, brax, mcintosh and such at a fraction of the price. They are made by Mr Steven Mantz who use to make old school hifonics and such. The service is absolutely wonderful as you talk directly with mr mantz when you call for help. Also he is very flexible on amp modifications such as rigging an amp to run strickly at 8 ohm (100 x 2 @ 8 ohms and such). He is a great guy and i would strongly recommend his amps.

Oh and as you'll probably see these amps come to $898 shipped to your door:)

For what your looking for, i don't think anything comes close to the set up i suggested.

P.S the specifications you requested are almost impossible to get period, let alone under $1000. And for the sub amp, class d are much more efficient. Personally i do not believe in amplifiers having "sq" and that as long as an amplifier provides clean and reliable power, the speakers will sound their "best" (considering the speakers are decent and proper tuning and placement of the speakers have been completed). Some will argue that there is a huge difference between a audison and profile in terms of sq, well of course there is! the audison is better built and offers a clean supply of power while the profile struggle to produce enough power let alone clean power. Well, my point is, i doubt that you can hear the difference in sq between the class d zed minilith and a supposedly "sq" amp such as the audioson. If you can, then congradulations, you have far better ears than me:D

As far as I know (which is not that much in this case), the CDT speakers and sub I have are 4 ohm, with given power ratings at 4 ohm. The CDT website (cdtaudio.com) is not very technical so I dont have any additional info on powering this equipment. I dont know if they can be run at 2 ohm and I dont know how to find this out? Maybe someone on here is more familiar with this?

leonsv, i need to check those out. thanks for the info
by all means, ask anyone who is knowledgable about car audio, and they will tell you the zed amps are solid, reliable and offer great performance.

if you have any question about zed amps, email Lukas at audiojunkies or Mr mantz himself at zed audio.

good luck

An amp such as the Memphis Belle will satisfy those requirements...for less than $1000 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Any other ideas on this? Ive also started looking at the kicker sx 600.2, getting one for the comps and one bridged for the sub. They seem to go for around $400 each online. Power is 150 x 2 @ 4 ohm but supposedly they put out significantly more?

Since the OP said he didn't want to bridge a 4 channel:

You can get a Zed Audio Deuce if you want 250 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms. I have one and it is running at 4 ohms. Highly recommended and I highly recommend you buy it from Lukas at Audio Junkies - the best customer service I've had in a while AND great prices.
