i tried to repair and old school power acosoustik amp back in the day with no sucsess, what exactly do i need to do? look for? i will be tryin it on a kicker kx250.2 this time, i can post pics of the board if needed

The Basic Amplifier Repair page is especially useful, and if your amp is only slightly toasted, understanding and following the guidelines there might be enough for you to fix it.
