amp repair

first off I had to send my autotek in for repair. It was still under warrenty so it was sent to autoteks authorized repair facility CIA Engineering. They have had my amp for over 6 weeks now. Has anyone had experience with these guys? How long should it actually take to get this fixed and sent back? My backup amp is dead too so 6 weeks with no bass is getting old real fast!

second, i have a powerbass xa 3000d that has a bad fet (My dead backup amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ), i pulled the amp apart and it looks like a simple fix, i have the bad fet off and im gonna just solder one back on but im having a hard time finding a place to order one. this is kind of like a learning/experimenting thing for me if the amp doesnt work when im done then oh well, i just like trying new shit.

6 weeks is ridiculous for an authorized repair center. Have them refund your money and send to db-r.com (as recommended by other forum members).

I dont see LC on it anywhere, just what i posted above. Thanks for the link! ill oder it and see if i can actually fix this thing, if not no big deal. It was hehaded for the dumpster anyway

Make me an offer on the amp as it is now and i might just get rid of it instaead of trying to fix it. I have never worked on an amp before and there is a good chance that after messin with I could damage it worse. Also, the case isnt in very good condition, the face plate is missing and there are quite a few deep scratches on it. this is why i was gonna try to fix it myself instead of sell it since most people want a good looking amp as well as a functional amp.

Sorry but the autotek isnt for sale, it is being repaired right now and that will be the amp ill be using once i get it back.
