Amp Repair Center (ARC)

I sent my JBLa6000gti into the Amp Repair Center (ARC) in Ohio. I sent it in over 3 months ago and still haven't gotten it back. There customer service is terrible. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of them. You usually get the answering machine. If you leave a message they never call you back. The few times I have gotten ahold of them Scott (the owner I believe) says "oh we had to wait for this" or "its taking a little longer than expected. Should be done in a week". Never done.

About 3 weeks ago he said he was done and was gonna ship it out the next day and call me once he does. Still haven't heard from him and can not get ahold of him... so today I was trying to do some research and found this... Amp Repair Center, Akron OH 44303 -- MerchantCircle.com

The address and info up top doesn't match but the address and info in the first customer review does. Seeing that I now think he has stolen my amp and I'm not going to get it back.

So my questions...

Has anyone delt with ARC?

If so did you get your amp back?

How do I go about this? Call in to the BBB? Drive up there in person?

Idk. I'm vert upset and any help is much appreciated.

Sent them a Brutus 1606D, came back in two weeks but I wasn't able to test it until 3 months later, Scott said it's all good to go. Got it hooked up but it makes a weird noise and then it blew out after three days. Scott wanted more money to fix it since it was out of his warranty time. I said hell no.

 
You should really do your research. I posted a shitstorm thread about these fucktards 6 years ago. I threatened to take them to court and wah-lah, my amp shows up....not fixed, but shit I was happy to at least get that back.

They're known fuckups.

 
Ive talked to somone else on here before i sent it in and they said they were a great company and they had great success so that why i went ahead and did it. Any idea how to get it back atleast?

 
I realize I have made a mistake and should have done more research. All I'm asking for now is any advice in how I go about getting my money and amp back.

Whoever the **** said that needs to get donkey punched. ARC is a horrible HORRIBLE company. They kept two of my bro's amps for a freaking year. No that's not a typo, A FREAKIN YEAR. Supposedly waiting on parts the whole time. Finally got them back and they were still broke. Their customer service consists of constant lies, dodging calls, and sometimes simply hanging up on you.

 
Good info to know. I bought my AQ2200 off of him about a year ago and drove down to pick it up. He does it out of his house in the basement. There were a ton of good amps down there including alot of DD's and Cactus amps. He told me at that time he was an authorized reapir center for both. I def wouldn't deal with him again after seeing this. He had the amps for sale on craigslist.

 
Well I filed a complaint and threatened him. Talked to him today And supposedly he is sending my amp back Monday and is refunding the money. I don't know If He is telling the truth but I will find out soon enough.

So he lied when he told you it was fixed 3 weeks ago? or is he saying he did the repair for free?

He told me it was fixed 3 weeks ago but after I talked to him today he says he ran into more problems after testing. Who knows I cant believe anything he says.
