amp/rca question

i have a amp in my car going to my subwoofers. One of the rca's i found out isnt working (broken rca input jack on amp) and it may have not been working for a good while now. The only rca that works is the black(-). Is this affecting the sound quality the subs receive? Also is it affecting how loud the subs hit?
