i just recently bought a memphis mca-3004 for pretty cheap, but the problem is that the blue cap on the left rear rca input is missing. can i still run rcas even without this cap? can i replace the cap? what could/should i do? any and all help/input is appreciated. thx.

I am one of those people that really takes into consideration the quality of a sound signal. I'm sure you are trying to pinch money anyway you can but if it were MY system, I would get new rca's. I definitely wouldn't try to put a new end on the wire because there will be an efficiency loss. Running it without the cap might eventually lead to oxidation of the internal wires which will also affect your sound signal. That make sense?

Ahem... No. Putting a new barrel connector on the end of an RCA is no different than the original one put on at the factory.

Is it the whole circle or just that little color piece inside it? If it is the color piece inside maybe try to find some old equipment and pull it out :p ive never had this issue so I don't really know
it is the whole gold cap that is missing. all that is left is a small black input.

Yea I read it too fast. It should be pretty cheap to have a new one put in. Try searching here for guys who repair amps.
thx. i went to a shop around here and one said it was completely broke, but he's a d*ck so i went to another shop and they told me it could be repaired. who around here can repair it, and how much will it cost?
