amp rated at 14.4

My amps rated at 75 X 2 @ 4ohms at 14.4 but im pretty sure my car is at 13.8 so how many watts is it really putting out? I have 0 gauge all the way to the back. The reason im asking is because im setting the gains by calculation and want it to be perfectly tuned.

think 75/14.4 = 5.2 watts per volt. Multiply 5.2 x 13.7 (just incase) = about 71 watts. Set ur gains to around 70 watts and u should be okay.

Ya thats fine for setting a up a passive system. I personally use a 0db test tone but some use a -3db. Its ur choice.

1Khz not 1hz.... there is a big difference there. your comps should never play 1hz.

just use a 1khz tone at 0db, they have them on realmofexcursion.com in the downloads section.

the absolute best way is to use the tone at the point where you're adding the most in the EQ. say you boosted 2.5khz by 3 or 4 db's... then use that tone when you set your gains.
