i drive this saturn vue. limited back space. my box takes pretty much all the space. but i do not want to put my amp on my box. anyone see a way to build a rack somewhere or a good creative idea to keep the amp off the box? ive included pics of how it is now. very sloppy but i only have it like this now to keep it off the box until i can figure out what to do. any ideas appreciated guys! thanks

Possibly mount it to the back of the seat length wise lower down so there's room to breathe. The seats would then have to drop down together, but it would be mounted.
the seats, when up, go down at an incline, if that makes sense. so the amp would kinda be slanted forward. would that affect the amp at all? ive thought about it but the seats are also so cheap that i feel that if i screwed the amp, the seats wont be able to hold it.

Could go with a amp board that's vertical behind the Box. I did I don't like screwing crap to my seats that's kinda ghetto imho. Not to mention then there's play in the wires and cabling which also looks ghetto.. Mount a board put the amp/amps on one side run the wiring thru holes to the backside.

Anyway you could explain how to do this? I get the idea but what what do insecure the amp board to?

Won't hurt it at all. Looks like the 3/4 side of the bench seat is actually long enough?

^Right, you can mount amps to boxes as long as there is something like rubber spacers to reduce the transfer of vibration. It is bad to directly mount to a box, because you'll rattle components off your circuit boards

I had a similar situation in my boat. Onviously you cant screw it to the hull. What i ended up doing (and you could still use a rubber dampener between the box and amp rack) is i used liquid nails not to the box but the hull of the boat. Then mounted the amp to the wood using screws. Very simple i used 2 1x1 treated railing spindles and mounted them so i get airflow behind the amp too. Have hit some pretty decent chop and hasn't moved at all.

It's not the vibration so much as the box flex that kills amps. Everything in the car vibrates and what happens when you hit pot holes. The amps still live. Amps last for years screwed right into the box, just easier to steal
