Amp Rack/False Floor Build. LARGE Pics....

how do those subs sound like that?
they sound great, but in the semi near future i may be swapping them out for a single Fi Q 18 that will be run ib //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif but that may or may not happen

am I seeing double?
yeah i think i messed up a bit when posting the pictures.
keep them coming
will do.
HEY, I have that EXACT same SKIL drill that you have. $12 from Ace Hardware. Ace is the Place.
Skill FTW...

Amp rack is really going to look good when he is done. [/quote] so will those kicks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

nice. what are you covering it all with?
i am going to carpet the top panel either black or the same grey color as the carpet already is.and there will be cutouts in the top piece with plexi to show off the amps.

pics posted twice....
yeah i didnt notice that last night but it was like 3 in the morning and i was tired.
I think that I would have put the fans in the end of the rack blowing down the length of the heat sinks. The rest is looking nice.
that was the original plan but with space for 3 amps (the crossfire will be replaced with an avionixx 4 channel) there wasnt enough room to mount them on the end.

more pics ... looks goood so far
thanks, and hopefully i get some time to work on it tonight.

Looks awesome. Small suggestion though. Since both Avionixx amps are blue, and then the PG EQ and Crossfire amp is white, why not put the Crossfire in the center flanked by the Avionixxs amps then you have white in the center and blue to the outside. Symmetry
Just a suggestion. Looks great though. I love to see IB set-ups.

well the crossifre amp is just temprorary, i want to pick up another AVIONIXX 4 channel to go there so all the amps match.

and the EQ will be covered up most likely, i havent really decided on that yet.

Then that'll look badass. Avionixx make great amps. I have always loved the look of the PG white EQs. I say leave it showing.

Diggin' it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Make sure one of those fans is wired on reverse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How did you make your baffle? what material? how did you seal it? Did you do a cardboard cutout?
i doubled up 3/4" mdf and cut it to a rough size that kind of fit.

then took it and checked and trimmed every place that interfered.

eventually it slid right into place and i screwed it down in several places.

then sealed it with some expanding foam.

but it seems that it will be coming out very soon to be replaced with a single 18" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

thanks, but these are squirrel cage fans and they dont work in reverse.

the ends of the rack will stay open so the air that comes in will exit the ends.

i havent gotten any time to work on it since sunday but hopefully i will get something done in the next couple days.
