I was wondering if a ground could cause this problem...

The amp will kick into protection mode very randomly. And when it enters protection mode it will fade back and forth between green (powered) and red (protection). Once it does that i have to turn off the amp, then turn it back on a bunch of times to get it working. Then it will randomly do it again. Is it possible to test a ground somehow?
