ahha what does the terrible sound quality i mentioned have anything ti do with competing or having 5 18 RE's? im just speaking from experience ive ran them they sound god awful you could prob do better for the money even if you dont want to "compete":laugh:

Learn to make boxes to specs and use the right wires and its called dynomat. Then maybe your car wouldn't of sounded like shit, yeah?

I am wiring it down to 1ohm, and I was just wondering what amp I could use that can handle a 1ohm stable that will still put out 2000 watt true RMS.

2000 rms is gonna be alittle much power for that sub if your not careful with the gains. they tend to get very stinky as well even with clean power that much above rated. i ran 3500 to a pair daily. the sound quality only diminishes with the more power you feed them. stay with an amp that does close to 1000 at 1 ohm

you have many choices. maybe..... http://www.woofersetc.com/p7502/BXI-1210D--Hifonics-1200W-1-Channel-Mono-Block-Amplifier.htm i hear they do rated. im sure you could find something cheaper even. no need to drop rediculous bank for an amp for an l7 imo. just get something that does rated

I heard good things about hifonix amps, I will probably go down that route then. As for wiring, think it would be good with 4guage, or is that overkill/underkill?

you cant wire a dual voice coil to 1 ohm..now you need 1000 or so at 2 ohms

Hows that a ripoff when the 15inch sub itself is 250 bnib?

250 on ebay with no warranty maybe they are 500 retail authorized bnib for an L715 i sell em for 250 tho new lolz

I am pretty sure you can, correct me if I am wrong, I am not that great with car audio and all the ohms things. But if you wire on the subs a wire going from positive to positive, then a negative to negative on sub, then a positive from the very left positive, then a lead from the very far negative to the amplifer, should make it a 1ohm stable.
