amp question!

a friend of mine gave me a memphis amp for free he told me his cousin did something to cause it to turn on but not put out any sound. i tested it. It turns on doesn't go into protection mode or fuse fault.

I took the back panel off to see if the circuit board has any discoloration and from what i saw is none. just wondering if any think can be done to fix it perhaps? if not then it would be a nice paper weight or scrap aluminum=P i believe its model number is 16- MCD500 thanks for any help!

you didnt test it to see if it played? send it to DB-r and get it fixed. think the price range is $50-140. something like that.

sorry its late here brains not functioning right. I hooked it all up turned on the Memphis logo lit up no sounds from the amp, did not smell like a fried board.

It all depends why it doesn't work.

I just bought one of those new on ebay for $215.00 shipped. Keep that in mind when you figure in the cost of repairing it. Good little amps. I have had 2 500s and a 3004 that have been solid.
