Amp question.. weird to me..

I was checking out my sisters friends stereo the other day, and a guy hooked it up for her.. douche by the way.. anyways..

She has a jensen 500w amp (crap) and a JL W0 in a bandpass box .. and he has it hooked up where the RCAs are going into the OUTPUTs of the amp, instead of the inputs.. thats not right, but how is it still working? I have done plenty of installs and everything, but wasn't sure what to think of it, and being as I didnt install anything I wasn't sure what to do.. what do you guys think? I am probably taking that shit from her, and installing something new anyways, but am curious about it.. LMK..

The RCA inputs and outputs on most amps are sometimes hooked in parallel, so that is the reason it is accepting a signal when the RCA's from the HU are hooked to the amp's RCA outputs vs. inputs. I don't think it will hurt anything but there must be a reason they did not use the inputs (bad RCA, noise).
