amp question for 10'' kicker CVR help please

I currently have 1 CRV dual 2 ohm. i am pretty sure right now i have it wired to 2 ohms bridged doing 300 watts on an old *** RF T500.2. i thought this setup sounded good then my friend has exact same sub wired to a 400 watt amp and his sounds SSOOO much better and way more bass so I found a zx 400.1 for 75 dollars on craigslist and im wondering if this amp will work with it.

No that kicker amp will not work well, you can only wire your sub at 1 ohm or 4 ohm on a mono amp. I'd look for an amp that does 400rms or more at 1 ohm

Just buy a 800 rms 1 omg stable amp and be done.. There's a few In the for sale section. That way it'll be powerful enough for the kicker. And when you cook it! You can get something gooder. Yes.. Gooder.

you cant wire a d2 sub to 2 ohms. learn how to wire a sub properly before you go out and buy another piece of equipment and risk blowing it up
