I now am owning 2 old "barbque" style RF amps. One is a 75.2 and the other is 150A2. The

150A2 has 2 plastic pices one one side. On that side there are like 4 or 5 of them an the same amt. on the other side. I wanna fix tyhis. How would I go about this? My 75.2 has no burn marks except where the remote spade would slide on. How would I fix this spade? Is it possible to solder this to the board? I am in need of ideas cause I'm not in too much of a hurry to pay Fosgate 200 dollars to fix both amps. Anyways please give me some ideas.

I don't think anyone knows exactly what you are talking about! What are "plastic pieces"?

Why are there burn marks on the remote connect? Sounds to me like you have shorted something out! Maybe u can explain what u mean a little better and you'll get a better opinion!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If you're not an electronics technician with the propper test equipment, replacement parts, and a schematic diagram of the amp, you're kidding yourself if you think you can fix a smoked amp yourself. Maybe something simple like a broken terminal but beyond that.. no.

Those "plastic things" are power transistors.

Heed the warning label.. "No user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to authorized service personnel".

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

Pretty much. It's just a nice kit. A solo rite Scarlett 2i2, XLR mic and a loop back cable are my next purchases so I can get accurate phase...
