amp problems

ok i got my viper amp out and hooked it up in my gf car and it seems like the sub only wanted to play certian notes. the 50hz test tone plays loud but parts of music dont want to play. the kinda low rumble at the first of one of ludacris song it plays then as soon and the words start to play it almost sounds like the sub shuts off.

upon further invesigation i pulled one rca cable out and all of a sudden it started playing. so i pull the other out and plug it in the amp and it works so i know its not the rca cable its the amp input. what could cause this. it plays fine with one rca pluged in but if you plug both in the amp wont play right.

some amps are not designed to have both RCA's plugged in when it's bridged

What is the model of the viper amp?

What head unit are you using?

Is your line output convertor wired out of phase? That would be the first thing I would check for.

ETA: If you guessed when wiring up the LOC, pick a channel, left or right, and reverse the positive and negative connections.

i though that was possible but i dont remember if i tried it or not but ill go try
