Amp Problems

i have a Lanzar 2 channel 800 watt amp powering 2 sets of alpine type x separates, 6 1/2s, i've had this setup for almost 2 years, and about a week ago i noticed that if i turned up the volume on my deck, an alpine, the separates shut off. when this happens i turn off the deck, and a few seconds later i turn it back on. this turns the separates back on, but whenever i turn it back up, it shuts off. the gain on the amp is a little under halfway. one of the fuses of the amp has been blown in the past, and i replaced the fuse, i checked the fuse this time, but it wasn't blown, changed it just in case and i have the same problem. the light on the amp dims and flickers when i turn the volume up and the speakers stop playing, but the light doesn't completely turn off. i have just gotten a MTX 9500 and am powering it with the same mono amp that i had in my car with my other subs, but the gain is turned higher on the mono amp than before. could this be the problem, from the deck i can turn off the sub, and this still occurs, but the mono amp is still on.
