I currently have an Alpine MRV T-707 (100 X 2 or 340 X 1) powering my single woofer, and was now wanting to power my front speakers. My question is, would it be best to use my current 2ch amp to power the speakers, and get a mono amp for the woofer, or get another 2/4ch amp for the fronts.
I'm looking at the MRPM650 for the mono and the MRPF450 for the multichannel (both on sale for pretty good prices).
My current front speakers (Polk Audio 651s) are only rated to 55rms, max 160, so I'd have to keep the gains down on the amp. However, they will soon be replaced by a set of components, and want to futureproof myself against having to buy another amp.
Thanks
