I am using the same brand head unit, amp and sub. Amp and sub I just bought today. I have hooked everything up correctly. (I do have a couple years in AC/DC circuits) I have double checked all my connections. I have power to the sub, it only powers on when the key is turned so I know the remote is right. I have chosen sub in the audio menu of the head unit, where I can pick rear/sub. The bass and treble is set to 0 on the head unit and the sub level is set at 5. No sound from the sub.
I assumed there might be an issue with the RCA wires or output so I hooked up the high end input with my rear channel wires. Then when I turn the key and turn on the head unit there is no power light on the amp.
I disconnect the sub and try the speaker on one of the rear channels without the amp. It beats just fine, so I know it's not bad.
So with RCA's it lights up but no sound.
With high level/speaker input no power light on the amp at all.
I disconnected the ground and used a set of jumper cables to ground it directly to the frame under the vehicle to see if it was just grounding off the RCA jacks. Still nothing.
