amp powering question

**** so voltage=sqrt(power*resistance) ?

that sucks a lot...if i put my gain just above half way and listen to my music at my normal volume it goes a little above 250watts...guess i have to keep gain half way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and with no bass boost this JL sub is hella weak

I would put closer to 350 on a w3....yes it is over their rating, but with clean power and a good enclosure, it can handle it

didnt you just spend $180 for them to install the amp? and they didnt even set the gains?
correct. i told my friend about that too...he said they shoulda set gains

could just be the dmm...some of the cheaper ones will do that
GE branded...i picked one of the better ones they had at walmart lol thanks for your patience and help btw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

never used a GE...I have an Actron

other than the meter itself, it could be the connection between the tips of the probes and where you are sticking them
