why would my main amp power wire that goes to he battery keep blowing its fuse after about 10 minutes of play it never did this before?

Is the amp getting hot? Is your ground solid? Are you having any shorts? How much power are you pulling and what is your fuse rated at?

my system is about 1600 watts my power wire fuse is 80 amp fuse,good grounds are not getting hot but my power wire gets pretty hot

i have 3 pioneer 820 watt amps,my power wire is 2 gauge ran into a distribution block

Yeah, if you're really running 1600 watts then the reason its blowing is because you're trying to pull 150 ish amps of current.

so what can i do to fix this problem run seperate power wire for each amp or more capacitors or?

i have 3-12" kicker comp vr subs in a ported box with each sub having its own amplifier

do the math

1600 (watts) / 12 (volts) = 133.33 (amps)

Get a bigger fuse......like the voodoo 300amp one I have for sale.....just sayin.
