amp power light is blinking!!!!

i have a hifonics brutus amp pushing 2 alpine type r 10's. well the past few days my subs have been working and then they would shut off. i figured that a connection came undone. so i pulled my subs out of the box and checked the connections. everything was fine. and now my power light has a blinking action going on. and still no sound. WTF. i dont have cash to buy a new amp if i dont need to. so if anyone can help me it would be BIG! thanks guys

And also check your power and ground and fuse holder to make sure all the connections are solid.

ok i checked everything and nothing happened. then i lifted the hood and pulled my fuse out. looked at it and put it back in. and my stereo worked again. well i went to class tonight and as i made a right turn into the parking lot my subs shut off again. wtf is going on.

U have a loose connection somewhere.

Easy way to prove it. Pull the amp. Hook it up to your battery in the front with short runs of wire and see if it will stabilize. Most certain it will though.

Yea seems like either the fuse isn't sitting tightly in the holder or there is a loose wire.

the fact that you "made a right turn" then music stopped says loose connection. CHECK ALL POWER CONNECTIONS. also check remote wire @ radio side.

ok ill check the remote wire behind my deck. i went to class light night and was bumping the whole 8 mile trip and when i turned into the parking lot it did it again. when i check the fuse though it feels like its in all the way, but i pull it out and put it back in. and it works again. this is driving me nuts. im driving a expedition lifted on 35s by the way.

i don't know what the "lifted with 35's" has to do with anything. i drive a lifted jeep with 33's and my system, works fine. can you also let us know what format fuse holder your using? or post a picture of a similar one from google?

i was just saying that because it doesnt ride like a stock expedition so i was letting you guys know incase it helps. i pulled the fuse again and the holder is a little melted. im gonna change it out.

it probably melted due to a bad connection on the fuse holder. either between the fuse, and its block/holder, or power wire to fuse holder.

buy an anl fuse holder, they have never let me down. i bet you had an agu fuse holder. they are basically junk. or you can use a circuit breaker
