Ya i might go with the sundown i now it is a good amp is that best deal your gonna get on that sundown.Lol, this is what I was thinkin.
The Sae-1200D I posted the link to would be a good choice then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.. Very reliable, great company/customer service, not gonna get hot (If installed properly) and Jacob benched one to put out 1770 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. You could definitely get the 1-1.5k range out of it.

Well you listed the MB Quart DSC-1500.1D...that puts out 1500 watts. I've owned two SAZ-1500D's and a SAE-1200D. The MB Quart definitely holds its own against the Sundowns, but the SAZ-1500D beats it in efficiency and is built to handle very low ohm loads. If you're not gona beat your amp to crap and drop it below one ohm, go with the MB Quart.Ya i might go with the sundown i now it is a good amp is that best deal your gonna get on that sundown.
But theres so many options. That MB puts a 1000 out for sure????. This amp is for 1 type r
And why would you think a single Type R could handle 1.0-1.5kw?Ya i might go with the sundown i now it is a good amp is that best deal your gonna get on that sundown.

I know everyone will tell you "the r can handle more".. I've run them on many different amps, in different boxes, different vehicles etc.. Cut that power in half.. You don't need more than 750 watts if you're running a single type r...There's no reason to put 1500 watts on a sub that is 500rms 1500 max..It's just stupid IMOYa i might go with the sundown i now it is a good amp is that best deal your gonna get on that sundown.

Beat me to it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifAnd why would you think a single Type R could handle 1.0-1.5kw?
This is true.. I ran a pair of them on an Orion 2500D @ 2 ohms (1700 watts, 850 each) in my truck and they started to smell pretty **** quick.. I also put a pair in a car awhile back and the customer asked that I ran them on Kicker 1500 so 750 watts each and they got hot quick as well. Get one d4 and run it @ 2ohms so it sees half the power of your amp, then get another one later if you're not satisfied and run them @ 1...600-700w will get them stinky...if your going to bother getting a 1500w amp, why not just run two of them?
**** beat again lol.. I'm slow at typing today..only difference is I was thinking a 1k watt amp rather than 1.5k..OP you could always get a 1500 watt amp and a D4 type r..run it at 2ohms. Later on when you get bored upgrade and get another D4 type R, then run them at 1ohm.
No worries, as long as he's getting good advice it doesn't matter who gives it lol. I put a little edit in after you quoted me tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifhahaha sorry man!
