Amp overheats

If your amp is getting really hot, then there are a few things to consider:

Is the amp in a well-ventilated area and away from direct sunlight?

Is the amp stable with the current load from your subs?

Is the amp faulty?

You can get external fans to help keep it cool, but I would ensure that the 3 things mentioned above are OK first.

amp is in the trunk with the sub. Amp is 1ohm stable. Amp works fine and I played it for 2 hours last night in cool temps. But when it gets hot outside tha amp cuts all the time.

My viper 1200 had the same problem, I recommend mounting in a different location and consider fans. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
