Amp overheating

I got a directed 1100D amp refurbished from Ikesound yesterday. I made sure everything is wired correctly and the amp starts to overheat. not only that but a high pitched sound is coming from both subs. I wired it for a 2 ohm load. Only thing i can think of is that I am using 8 gauge power and ground.

Umm.. run 4gauge. you can't run 8gauge on a 1000+watt amp.

is that the only problem? like that will fix the heat prblem and the high pitched noise?

might fix the overheating.. maybe the whining noise.. but it sounds like something else might be wrong internally. You should call Ikesound and describe the problem to them and see what they want to do about it.
