amp outout at higher ohm

have a power acoustik 5500d it says its output 3200rms at 1.ohm my subs ar wired to 1.34ohm.

so if its 3200 at 1ohm would i do 3200 divided by 1.34? for 2388rms

power acoustik lies about their power output.

Nobody knows what they put out unless you have an o-scope and resistor bank to test with.

The math works out that the higher the impedance, the lower the power output. That said, impedance is reactive and music is dynamic so you actually never see rated power for more than a few milliseconds at a time regardless of the amp or the impedance.

And as was said above, your Power Acoustic amp would probably be doing good to produce half its claimed output.
