k i put pioneer revs in the rear and Rev components up front in my 04 corolla S, no amp.

its sounds pretty good but its still lacking something

im on a really tight budget here so which should i do,

i can only really afford to do one

profile 60x4 amp for the speakers, or an 8 inch amped bazooka tube?

the amp has a bass boost for all channels that will probably bring up the bass to a level that i would think is fine, but the tube is all bass.

which should i do and why?

thanx for all your help

i wouldnt get a bazooka tube , id pick up a decent sub like Paikaih said. Ed k, Shiva, Type R, w3. Soemthing along those lines. and give it 300 watts. Will be much better. And get an amp for the speakers.

i concur.he just said bazooka tube.a k would be better, cheaper, less room, and easy to power, and more options to power it.and you can port them if you dont like it sealed.

i guess whats missing most is lows, but i could say a little more loudness wouldnt hurt either.

would putting an amp with bass boost in make the bass hit a bit better? or will an amp in general make the bass a bit better? my HU has no sort of bass boost at all.

also is a 60 watt per channel amp too much wattage for pioneer Rev 6.5 components?

amp will make the bass hit fine..the bass boost like as in remote bass control?those just control the bass easier..or like a bass eq?bass eq adds more bass sorta..it makes it more boomy..which in turn, adds more bass.....the rev's take exactly 60w..so ur fine..what amp u usin?

bazooka tube!!! and ur in luck i just happen to be selling a 10" one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif u know u want it!

i was lookin into the profile 60wx4 amp, i hear its good, and its pretty cheap on ebay.
for your speakers?you only need a 2 channel amp for components, but its good to get 4 channel for in the future.dont buy off people on ebay, buy off the wholesale dealers, the guys w/ 800+deals and 98% positive feedback, those guys.ikesound.com sells profile amps for just about as cheap as ebay and u get a warranty.
