So I was looking online and noticed that i could get an MTX TA81001 for just about the same price as a Audioque1200d including shipping ect... My question is which amp would yall pick? I think the MTX looks a hell of a lot better plus it has 4 40 amp fuses where as the AQ1200d only has 3 40 amp fuses and the MTX is rated at more power. Audioque spec are 870 @ 2ohms and 1200 @ 1 ohm the MTX is 1000 @ 2 and 1500@ 1. I will be running it on 2 ohm load daily then if i decide to upgrade wire it to 1 ohm. Not knowing what sub i am running. What would yall pick as far as which one puts out rated power and lasts a good while? Thanks!

I cant decide lol i think the MTX looks a helluva lot cooler than the audioque... But i was just looking around and one website said that the MTX amp only does like 500 watts at 2 ohms? Plus i just noticed the MTX is a refurb... i dont know it comes with a 90 day warranty. i dunno.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I have had the MTX 81001 and AQ 2200

Personally I say get the AQ 1200, the MTX I had always ran hot, and I know I wasn't clipping it or feeding it low voltage. And they aren't that efficient.

When I put my AQ 2200 in, thing ran cool, and my voltage never dropped below 13 @ idle, while the MTX was dropping to around 12.X~ at idle.
