Amp needed...

I have a friend who wants to power an Image Dynamics ID10 v.3 4ohm DVC and his front and back speakers with just one amp. The front/back speakers are both rated at about 60 watts RMS @ 4ohms, but he doesnt feel like he needs to have that much power going to them. He thinks even half of that will be good. Now the woofer is rated at 250 Watts RMS and will have to be wired at 2ohms. He does want at least 250watts going to the woofer.

So do any amps come to mind to do this kind of job? on a $200 budget?

I think that your friend is right on the part where you dont need to power speakers with rms. My brother powers his infiniti speakers with a punch 45 and thats like around 20 or 40 watts each and they sound fine. I then put in another amo that had 60 watts each and didnt notice a difference
