amp modification question

Hello, i have asked this question a couple of times with no answer. I have an mtx 250d, and i would like to run it at 1ohm. I know that the larger amps can do that, and i was wondering if this was possible with the 250d with either no modification, or what i would need to do to make this happen. Please help, thanks!

make sure u take note that running below the manufactures specs can really mess up ur amp. but then again u wont know till u test it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

that is true. That is why i am asking the opinions of others who might have done this before. I know that the big brother of this amp, the 8000d has been modded successfully many many times.

You may want to look into the components themselfs. Look at how much power they can handle, and calculate what they would be doing at 1 ohm.

Because some amps have components with transistors that can do far more than their even getting , like the 8000d, but theres always one component you overlook that cannot handle the power your going to be putting on it thats going to make you regret trying //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I wouldnt !

If you cannot find mods for it anywhere that are simple on http://www.google.com then dont try to make one up or get it from someone. You will cause yourself more problems than its worth if you fk up.

Also , just think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Your only going to get a 2 - 3db raise for doubling your power. Is it worth it ?

Well, the amp was inexpensive, and I can get more for not too much money if i did mess it up. I am thinking about getting a sub that is dual 2, and it would be nice if i could get 500watts out of this at 1ohm. I know that many people have modded the 8000d and 1500d amps with great success, and i was hoping this could be done the same way.
