Sorry meant dvc sub, dam auto correct. So I have a hertz hdp5 running a single jl tw5 subwoofer. I hooked up a multi meter set to 200ac and a clamp set to 40ac. I keep coming up with a ohm load of 8. Does it sound like the sub is wired wrong?

Tried 40hz -3db and 50hz 0db test tones. And I stand corrected, its a single 2ohm voice coil. Any suggestions? On both tones I ended up with around 8ohms. Volts and amps varied a little
