amp like 450/4

I was looking for an amp like 450/4 which puts out 150 or more for 2 front channels and the other 2 don't really matter!

Is there any other amp like that?

Zapco 1000.4 is 150 4-ch @ 4 ohms.

You can sometimes find them for ~$700 brand new, with warranty.

Excellent amps.

yeah, but we (i am ASSuming) don't want that extra 75 per channel in the rear fill. waste of watts.

That's what I was thinking actually, right after I posted.. but, you're not gonna find too many amps (at least I haven't and I searched for awhile) that have a clean front 150 at 4 Ohms like the JL that aren't either dedicated 2-chs or have have a comparable rear as well. Of course, I could be terribly wrong, wouldn't mind seeing an amp like this as well. I've heard that when people do opt for the rear fill, they only supply their rears with about half or less the power of the fronts. I was considering some XXX or Extremis for my rears but I may not do rears in which case I have 2 150W chans that I'll never use, maybe I'll bi-amp.

Hehe, I agree, I paid 650 for mine and it's the most expensive component I have.. short of the combination of 2 12"s.

As most people here will tell you, however, you get what you pay for.

I believe there's a few threads about multi-channel amps in the amplifiers section. Also check in the 1000W Amp thread, might be a few in there.

yeah that was what I was looking

Basicly I don't really like to get two 2 channel amps. One for front one for rear.

I wanted something that could push my cdts nicely and had some 35-75 watts for the rear.

the rockford fosgate 4 channels are power monsters again. in any series although im told the t series are sweet
