Amp kits, wires, RCAs, connections, etc.

Need opinions/suggestions as to what amp kit, wires, and RCAs to use. Here's what I plan on installing:

(4) JL Audio 8W3V2 or (2) JL Audio 10W3V3

JL Audio 500/1

Focal 165V2S

Focal 130CV1

JL Audio 300/4

I already have a Alpine IVA-W200. What do you think would be the optimum size power wire for this setup?

I could either use (1) 4 channel RCA with (1) 2 channel RCA or (3) 2 channel RCAs. What do you recommend for brands and series?

Should I buy everything separate or buy a kit? What kit do you recommend?

most people on here think that knu wire is pretty good, and is cheap. i just never used their stuff. Hope it helps.

wire is wire. buy what's affordable. knu sells rca's for like $7.99 and you can get power wire at weldingsupply.com cheap.

I heard from this forum that welding supply wire is aluminum and corodes easily.

it's copper and hasn't corroded in the 2+ years its been in my car in the michigan weather

Wow, I'm surprised on the answers I got, although it was only a couple. I figured I was going to have a list to pick from. I know wire is wire, but I've been told that RCAs do matter and will make a difference. I've been told that I don't need to spend tons of money on a set, but I also don't want cheapos.

What are your thoughts on JL Audio RCAs and amp kits?

Streetwires?

Kicker? I can get their 0/1 amp kit for $125.

Do what you want with wire, like icetee said wire is wire. go for how many strands are in the jacket, not by gauge alone. Streetwires are fine, but they in the same price range, and quality as Stinger, Tsunami, Lightning Audio, and Monster - which is fine. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with them.

I think most of Jl's products are a waste of money, and you pay for the name. Chances are they are made of the same Copper. However, their fuse holders and dist blocks have the ingenious swivle feature and are probally worth a look.

With reguards to the RCA delema, I think its best not to skimp on this area, just because it sucks to have to track down static or wine in the wires.

- Like I said in the beginning, I recomend Stinger products, just because thats what I'm used to. However, I don't think there is anything wrong with the other brands.

- I would say though, Stay away from Scoche EFX kits found at Wal-mart. I had a bad experience with them in my first install.

I particularly like the Kicker myself because I can get their 1/0 kit for $125 and it comes with everything (I think) but the RCAs.

Anyone out there ever used the Kicker kit?

buy the kicker off ebay, my friend found one for 90 shipped a few months back, i know u can get them for about 100 though
