ive been running 4ga to my 1501d for too long now and want to get some 2 or 1/0ga.. and the thing that i always have been wondering is whats the diff. between the copper style, redish, amp wires compared to the silver style amp wires? im looking at diff. amp kits and see that some of them come with "oxygen free copper" and others come with the silver colored wire. im sorry i forgot what the silver colored wire is called. thanks

Uhh, both cables shown are silver "looking" metal. Jacket color makes no difference. The Cables are tinned OFC which is marine grade and will not tarnish or corode. Even OFC over an extended time can tarnish.

The main thing to look at when shopping kits is copper content of the cable. If you buy a 4 gauge kit with 6 gauge wire it does not matter if it is OFC or TOFC (Tinned OFC)
