amp kit wire question

Before I start hooking things up I wanted to get a little advice.

System is 2 JL amps...a 300/4 for the comps and back speakers and a 500/1 for the sub.

I have a 4 gauge amp kit by JL (with a distrobution block that goes from 4 ga to 8 ga)

? is can I run a 4 ga distro block that also has two outs for 4 ga to both the amps or am I going to run into problems with the 500/1 since it requires 4 ga. I guess what I am really asking is will running 4 ga into the block and then having 2 4 ga running out of the block (1 to the 300/4 and 1 to the 500/1) give me any problems.

Thanks for the advice.

can 4awg fit into your block (isn't it only big enuff for 8awg or do u have 0 to 4awg block), in most cases u run 0/1 awg and 4awg ouptuts, but if it works then go ahead

Yea I can fit 4 ga running out of the distrobution block. I just want to make sure that I am ok splitting 2 4 ga out with 1 4 ga into the distribution block.

Would running a 4 ga out to the 500/1 and a 8 ga to the 300/4 cause me any problems or will that help or hurt it?

Or the other option would be to run 4 ga in with two 8 ga out since both the 500/1 and 300/4 will take 8 ga as a min. Will I suffer with that setup or is it negligible to notice the differnce.

Thanks again for everyones help
