amp kill switch - lighted rocker switch

okay, I think someone should be able to answer this pretty easy. I'm just not 100% on how to wire this switch and it came with basically no directions.

It's an illuminated rocker switch with three prongs, and a crappy sticker that says 'EARTH, LOAD, SUPPLY'...i get that I think --> ground, accessory, 12v (i think)

How do I wire this thing as a kill switch for my amp? I know I want to use the remote turn on from my head unit, right? I want the illumination only to be on when I have the switch in the 'on' position and the amp is on.

Earth = Ground

Supply = Remote wire from HU

Load = Remote wire to Amp

Your remote wire might not be enough to light up the switch, it's a very miniscule amount of power going though there.

Don't know why you would want a kill switch for your amps. If you're only running one amp from that switch you have it right, but if you are running more than that you will need a relay before or after the switch.

ya, I eat fast food in my jeep alot (with the engine off), and would just like to be able to kill the amp and still listen to the radio.

I thought that might not be enough power to illuminate the switch. I don't care that much if it lights up or not, I just want to be sure i'm not effecting the performance of my amp. Do you think that may be an issue?

A relay really isn't a problem, I've already wired a few things behind my dash and there are places where I can tap into a constant 12v power source. What type of relay would you recommend for this switch?
