So i have it hooked up @.5 ohms

i have a slight problem, i'm guessing its an electrical issue, but...

I can only turn the system up so far before a big bass note hits and its like the amp goes into protect and then comes right back on, say 2 secs later.

SO is it wiring or electric?

I'm going to hook the battery charger up to my car to check but any ideas?

IT wangs dont get me wrong, but i just cant turn it up louder than a certain point..

edit:

Hooked it up to my batterycharger250amp, and it still does the same thing.

I need to check the ground, after that i'm out of ideas.

It ran my PA3000db just fine and my wiring hasnt changed.

I had that same problem with one of my JL Audio amps. It turned out that the problem was that the ohm load was too low.

Is that amp .5 ohm stable?

I dont know too much bout that amp is why I ask.

Its supposedbly .5 stable from what i hear.

But i had one sub connected and it did the same thing.

as far as current draw goes, i had the car on wt a 250amp battery charger hooked up as well and it did the same thing.

might be your problem?

thats my old setup, my sub box is resting in there now, lol, well part of it.

But lets see, my setup is basiclly 1/0guage running back to a distro block, 8guage going to the pyramid, 4guage going to the sub amp..

Big 3 equipped..

Any further questions
