Amp keeps cutting out

I have had this setup for five months, and all of a sudden, when I turn the volume up, it starts going into protection. I used to have the boost and the gains all the way up, but not lately since I found out that's bad. I have tried re-grounding it, changing the speaker outputs around, and checked the power and remote lines. The setup is a Sony Xplod HU with a Sony Xplod XM-2002GTW Amp, and two 12", 4-Ohm MTX's The specs are

Amplifier:

* 1200 W peak output

* two channel bridgeable car amplifier

* built-in cooling ventilation (keeps your amp cool at all times and makes sure it does not overheat)

* 200 watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms

* 250 watts RMS x 2 @ 2 ohms

* 500 watts RMS x 1 bridged @ 4 ohms

* high level sensing power on the circuitry

* variable low-pass filter (50-300 Hz at 12 dB per octave)

* bass boost (10 dB @ 40 Hz)

* Class A/B 2 channel bridgeable car amp

* Tri-way capable

* MOS-FET output stage and power supply

* C--E--A-2006 compliant

* preamp- and speaker-level inputs

* preamp outputs

* 15-7/8"W x 2-1/4"H x 10 7/8" D

* Signal to noise ratio (dB): 100

* Frequency Response (Hz): 5 - 50k

* Input Level Range (V) Line level input: 0.3 - 6

* Input Level Range (V) Speaker level input: 1.2 - 12

* Operating Voltage (V): 10.5 - 16

* built and high level inputs to install your amplifier to a factory stereo

* built-in bass boost control

Ahhh I had an Ultraliener that did this. When it hit good bass, it would cut out. Its your amp. If its still under warranty, exhange it. But try to get a new amp if possible. I went from a 1200 watt amp that pounded, but cut out....to a 150 watt amp that pounds but dosent cut out. Try getting a Rockford Fosgate or a Kicker amp if you want good resutls.
