Amp keeps cutting out/ speaker blown

Alright... I just installed this Sony 4ch amp.... I used it to power my Infinity reference 5.25's in the front.. They say they take 45rms... I said **** it, they are old and sound like shit. so I gave them about 75 each... ONE blew the other is fine, but now when I turn the volume up to about 25 the amp turns off, but my subs are still running... I have checked all connections, they are fine.... Also the amp is bridged, and the gains are about 3/4 way up.

Anyway, I'm not too worried.. I got the amp for 25$, I do want it figured out though...

really? I have the high-pass filter on, frequency response turned all the way up, gains at ~ 3/4....

Do you think that the amp just can't take being bridged?

whats it bridged at ?

i assume its 4ohm stable bridged.. and 3/4 maybe too high depending on ur output voltage on ur headunit

I would assume/ hope so...??? my output voltage is 2v... But my sub amp is running fine, and that is at 1600w...

i'm not saying you have low voltage "in which this case everything would shut off"

i'm saying ur trying to get more power then what it'll put out...

I don't know the technical behind it but I do know a blown speaker if still hooked up will put a amp into protect. Maybe the coil laying down in the pole piece grounds out. dunno. But I know I have had a few subs that blew and it clipped the amp out. disconnect that one from the amp bet it quits
