amp keeps blowing fuses

i have an 8 gauge kit already installed from a previous system that was stolen. i bought an alpine m450 from a friend and hooked that up to a couple different subs to test, no problem. another friend gave me an old RF punch 500.2 amp and i figured i could use that on some components up front.

problem is, when hooking the new amp up i touched the ground and power together (on accident of course) and it sparked and blew a fuse. i bought a few more fuses and so i hooked the amp up again today and it blew another fuse. the amp's LED lights for a second when it is first hooked up (assuming i have a new fuse in) and then it goes off, which is when the fuse blows. is the amp blown? i dont feel like going through any more $20 (3-pack) 60 amp mini ANL fuses to find out. please help...thanks!

did u try the other amp in there to see if its still blowing the fuses

*edit well i found a 3pk for 8.10 from darvex and knukonceptz has them 1.49 each + shipping on both, and i didnt see any 60a only 50a and 70a

ya o well, i couldve looked around for a better price but i just assumed one new fuse would fix the problem and i wanted to get it done....but no. and i havent tried the other amp again yet but im sure it will work fine as it did the week before, but as i only have one good fuse left i dunno if i wanna try it now. im thinking about having the amp tested?

hook it up without a fuse...it may work

about how much would you guys think a local shop would charge to test the amp? im almost done installing my components and this is just giving me a headache
