How would i go about testing that ? just plug a multi meter into my speaker wires ?

Yep, same way you set gains with a DMM. Set it to A/C Voltage. Did you properly set gains? If so, how did you do it?

If you're measuring current with music playing you'll only get an average. Music has about a 5:1 peak-to-average, so your 12 amps is appropriate. Don't worry about it.

Are Caps really that bad ?

YES.... An xtra bat or even the big 3 along will do waaaaaay help to your system than a cap..

I have done the big 3, but i cant get and extra battery, because i would have to replace my starter battery also. as you know a weaker battery hooked to a stronger battery will either destroy the weaker one or **** the life out of the new one. And the cap is for the lights still dimming also.

The cap will only help until you drain it's charge, within a couple seconds. then it will just become one more load for your alternator to charge.

As long as your batteries are the same type, AGM.. ect, they should be alright in the same system, but it is best to have matching batteries, type and age.

Your amp is drawing 11-12 amps or it is producing 11-12 amps? Are you clamping the speaker wires or the power wire?
