Amp is messed up after new speakers

After I installed my new speakers, everything was working fine, for 5 minutes. As I was driving, I switch from CD to radio, right then, both of my amp's fuse blew. I replaced both blown fuse with new 20A fuses (as stated on the amp). Those blew too. I did it one more time and the blew again. After that, I replaced them with 25A fuses instead. Although they didn't blow, my speakers weren't playing music but was making popping noises instead. I looked at my amp and the power light was blinking. What should I do now?

Anybody please? I'm really mad right now because it took me a while to hook it up and now it's messed up. Thanks.

Is there any way to test and see if that's really the problem instead of something else? Thanks for the answers, at least it's somewhere to start.

It is a Kenwood KAC-846.

To johnson: I was playing a CD, the fuse blew during the change to radio. The speakers made some popping sounds for 2 seconds, then the fuse blew. As I said though, I replaced them with 25A fuses and they didn't blow; the speakers just kept making weird noises.

Way to totally avoid the question...

Did you check to see if the amp was hot after the fuses blew?

Hmm... maybe so because the volume was up higher than normal. If so, what would I have to do now? I don't really understand the term "shorted". So is the RCAs messed up or the speaker wires?

Was the radio up when the fuses blew the first time? Was the volume up the second time the fuses blew?

I'm sorry, but didn't I answer your question?
No?

Was the volume up the second time the fuses blew?
Up as in loud? No. Up as in on? Yes. The volume was on 3 or 4 and the rear speakers were play, not surprisingly because it was off HU power.
