amp is drawing current

Its the amp.

Usually most companies have a filter that prevents that.

Your amp mightnot have it and thats why it is "poping".

Its not drawing current, its using the power left inside the capicators in the amp.

Also try a reground and make it nice and clean as sbcaprice sudgested

 
this happened with my old HU. its what happens when the amp turns off after your HU. try throwing a switch on the REM line and turn your sub off before you turn your car off. would solve the problem i think.
