What amps are we talking about in this instance?

Anybody else got anything to say. What would make the biggest difference in the quality. Not any specific amps.

Basicly just trying to find out what to look for

Some may use cheaper compnents in the amps, or they could be the exact same thing in a different case...

it all depends on the brands.

The only real way to know which is better is to get both of whatever amp is in question and bench test them both exactly the same.

So is there a way to tell wich components are better? I see some say you can tell that ones is better, how?

That I don't know, you may try asking on the term pro boards... there are alot of people that know a lot more about the specifics of the amps that fall into that category over there.

Tighter tolerance components are a good sign. Look for blue colored 1/2 watt resistors for starters as they are 1% vice the standard 5% tolerance. If they've gone to the trouble to bother with the tighter tolerance resistors, chances are they went to the trouble to use higher quality components throughout the amp.

Other than that you would really have to know exactly what you are looking both at and for because essentially you arelooking for an overbuilt amp. If you don't know what the current requirement for the different devices are and what the specs for the specific devices are you can't really tell anything.
