Amp installation problem

Hello,

Ive been tryign to hook up my Kenwood KAC-9102D to my Deck, and i cant seem to get it working, i know i have the Power and ground hooked up properly.

I have a switch that used to be from fog lights i use to turn the amp on and off, when i flick the switch on, with the stereo going, nothing happens.. but if i turn the switch off, the light on the amp flashes... at one time it worked for a few seconds the lgiht was on, butr then off, and it still is doign what i explained?

Without being able to physically eyeball your install this is just a guess going by the rather sketchy info you have provided us so having said that I would say that the switch you are using for remote turn-on duties is wired incorrectly.

Why, if I may ask, are you going with that switch rather than the remote activation output on your head unit?

ahh, when i had my old kenwood in there it seemed to drain the battery, i have it hooked directly to the battery, just the Positive.. but i got a new altenator aroudn that time too.. so im not to sure whats going on ...

Anyways.. the switch im using has a light on it aswell, the light on ti comes on when i turn it on o.o

oh yeah, and as for the remote thing, i tryed it on a clarion deck, and it did the same thing, right nwo im using a Pioneer Deh-P600... im gunan be hookign it up to 2 400 watt 10" clarion power system

s with double voice coils in the clarion box
