amp install help

can someone tell me exactly how to install a 2 channel amp for my cdt components. i have them hooked up to my new h/u and im thinking about installing a 2channel amp for them. and if i do this will all 4 channel of the h/u go to the rear speakers? thanks in advance.

you would unhook the speakers from the deck, and run rca's from your rear preamps, than speaker wire from the amp to speakers

Close but no banana. If the deck has front pre-outs you will hook the rca cable to the front preout, not the rear. You will also run a remote on line to turn the amp on when the cd player turns on, it is called a remote on lead and is usually a blue / white or blue wire (sometimes called p.con or power ant) on the back of the cd player. It is wired to the corresponding input on the amp where you will also connect power and ground.

Second question is answered with a no. A cd players amp does not combine all of it's output to run the two rear speakers.

well right now i have the mtx amp running my subs. im putting a jbl 600.1 to my new subs and im gonna put the mtx amp to the cdts. so how can i run 2 remote wires? and does it matter which brand of rca cable?

you could just two two remotes, but i just have my remote to one, than jump it across to the other. Brand of cable usually wont matter, as long as its shielded and oxygenated or oxygen free, I forget which one lol

how to you connect toe 2 remote wires? and lemme just summarize what i have to do. i have to jump the remote wires, i have to hookup the xovers to the amp, then rca 1 amp to another, then run a wire from the amp to the battery?

You can just connect the remote wires by either splicing it, or just stick another one in the terminal with the other. IE, turn on lead comes from cd player goes in one amp, then you stick another peice of wire in the same place on the amp and run that to the other amp.
