Amp in protect...

My viper 1200.1 is in protect mode, and I want to make sure that I check everything for the problem.

I'm going to check all fuses, power and ground wires, and the ground location...is there anything else I need to check that is a common problem? This is the first time I have had an amp do this.

Check the ground, unplug the speakers, unplug the RCA's etc, watch the protect light. No change, probably got something wrong inside the amp.

Make sure you turn it off in between unplugging the speakers and RCA's. If you don't it might not come out of protect even though you have disconnected the problem, until you restart the amp.
